An Ugly Duckling

When I am out thrifting I am always on the look out for something that just needs a little loving.  Something that needs to be turned from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan.

As soon as I saw this frame I knew what I wanted to do with it.  2 years ago I saw a similar collage in a beautiful scrapbooking shop in Queensland called Bella Paperie.  Ever since then I have been looking for the perfect frame to create my own.

I lovingly painted it, sanded it and waxed it

It really was a labour of love.

 Then I collected a lot of my vintage laces and trims

Along with some beaded and sequined pieces

And some vintage brooches.  I collaged them on top of some gorgeous Stamperia paper

And then it became this.  It is now hanging on the wall in my little studio.  I am totally in love with it.

So Busy ....

I seem to have been so busy the past few weeks.  I have slowly been ticking things off my To Do List.  I have been treasure hunting a few times and found some amazing goodies
