Thank you for the lovely messages after 4 weeks of absence. I feel like I am in a bit better place this week. I just hope it lasts !
I was recently lucky to receive these gorgeous lanterns with battery operated candles.
They are perfect for our entrance foyer and look really romantic when lit. The candles are remote control operated so they are really easy to use. One of my daughters sells "Partylite" which is where they are from. They are lovely quality.
Last week I made this little music box for a friend who has been going through a rough patch. It plays "You are My Sunshine"
I made up a little poem to put on the card :-
Here is a gift from me to you
With lots of love inside.
It's never to be opened
So please keep the ribbon tied.
Whenever you are feeling sad or blue
Simply crank the handle and
know that I am thinking of you
It is wrapped in old music paper and adorned with shabby embellishments and charms.
She loved it. I will have to make some more now for my gift box. I might even take some photographs and do up a tutorial if anyone is interested ?
It is freezing here now that we are in Winter. There is so much that I want done outside in the garden but the body is just not willing at the moment and the weather makes a great excuse.
Now that it is the 2nd day of winter we can count down to the first rays of sunshine in spring.
Just finally before I go here are some linen journals I made recently. They feature hand painted Theodora Cleave buttons. My friend Barb is the brains and talent behind the business and is continuously creating brand new buttons.
I have an awesome collection of them and have lots of plans for making gifts in the coming weeks. Stay tuned !
Hugs,
Fee

I know its cooler there than here but I hope spring doesn't get here too soon - winter is the best time of the year here.
