Upcycled Dresser + Potting Area

Do you remember my 2 piece dresser from last week ?

In between other chores I have painted it with Annie Sloane Chalk Paint and then lovingly waxed it and distressed it a little.

I added new handles and Voila !  My dresser is finished.

I just love it !  I have a few things to change around in the rest of the house but for now it is dressed with a few pretties.

I bough the handles for it almost 2 years ago when I bought the dresser and it has taken me this long to get my act together to get it done.

I remember thinking when I saw it for sale that it had great bones

And when I enquired about it and the seller offered to deliver it I just couldn't resist

Now I just want to keep painting items throughout my home.

I also finished off the little lamp table that I showed you last week.  Now I just have to find the perfect lamp for it.  I saw one in a thrift shop a few weeks ago that was over priced at $35 so I'm hoping it's still there and is more realistically priced when I pop by today.

One of the things I have always wanted was a little potting area in a shady spot away from the elements and yesterday I created one.  This little area is off the end of one side of our breeze through but is the end rarely visited.  Except by the meter man !

So I gathered all of my potting bits and pieces and put them together in one place.

I recylced the old shower caddy and a little hanging basket - Both will come in handy I'm sure.

I'm looking forward to finding some time to do some potting next week.  I have kept a few old cake tins from my cupboard clean out last week and have a few ideas to use them.

Have a lovely Saturday.

Hugs,

Fee xx
