It is so important to focus on the positives in your life. As it's too easy to see only what's gone wrong. I always try to be half glass full and it certainly helps me to cope when things go a little haywire. I always say to my hubby that we can't fix whats done and we just have to build a bridge and get over it. I sound more and more like my gran every day - And that's a good thing.
This week I will be working on some more upcycled goodies for a handmade market I will be attending on Saturday. It will be my first outing with my goodies so I hope people like them.
I am so passionate about re-using what we have and turning junk into something new again. We live in such a disposable society that just keeps buying and disposing of the old. This behavior cannot possibly go on forever.
So in January I will begin a new journey of re-using, recycling and upcycling. I will also begin a Certificate in Small Business Management in the process. Whilst building a new business doing what I love.
Like these little metal tubs. They were at the thrift shop - Dirty, Old and Tired.
I added some shabby flowers made from an old shirt and cleaned them up. They are now ready to be re-loved by someone. I can just see some pretty make-up brushes standing in these.
It doesn't take much to make something pretty and useful to someone again.
On the sewing front things have been a little slow. I have been nursing Harry a lot of the time as he is just so fragile but I have managed to finish 3 of Rosie's stitcheries and get them framed and hanging on the wall.
And I have started the next 3 in a bright cheery pastel thread
They will be framed in an old fashioned pink
And hung in my entrance foyer. I love them so much !
I'm off to a new specialist this morning who will hopefully agree to do a procedure on my neck to lessen some of the pain in that area. Wish me luck.
Hugs,
Fee xx
