I seem to be a bit more than hooked on English Paper Piecing lately and in addition to my ongoing hexagons and Lucy Boston POTC blocks I decided to start another EPP project.
Meet Chelsea a design from Sue Daley which I have chosen to do in "Marmalade" fabrics by Bonnie and Camille. I am making steady progress with the 16 dresdens required and am over half way with them now.
I managed to pick the pattern and pieces up on a Facebook destashing site for half the normal price and the Marmalade Fat Quarter Bundle was already in my stash so a nice cheap major project.
I am loving the dresdens so much !
I went treasure hunting at my local thrift shop during the week and purchased this gorgeous white milk jug for $2 and the metal tray for $5
I also purchased this satin top for $1 which will soon become shabby flowers (stay tuned)
And I bought a lovely white cotton sheet in as new condition for $3 (which will become the background for a doily quilt I am making), A waffle weave cot blanket for $2 which is as new (to use as fabric for bags) and a shabby rose queen sized quilt cover for $6 which will become a couch throw.
The little $2 jug scrubbed up beautifully and currently holds some winter blooms in my bathroom and the little metal tray is undergoing a make over. Hopefully it will be finished this week and I can share with you it's new look.
I really must find more time for treasure hunting - You just never know what you will find.
Hugs - Fee x
