Thrift Shop Fun

I love nothing more than a good rummage through a thrift shop.  My trip to the University each day is 45 minutes each way and I pass many thrift shops on my way home.  Every now and again I get a "feeling" that I should make an unscheduled stop.  That happened to me last week. I am so pleased I did.  I found all of these wonderful HOBBYTEX Iron On Transfers - Perfect for Stitcheries !!  Look at Little Bo Beep - Isn't she adorable?

And I found this little sweet sewing basket.  It is just so cute and only $1.00

I'm not sure what I will do with it yet - It needs just a tiny minor repair.

And for the first time in a very long time I found some quality quilting fabrics - 2 1/2 metres of it for $5.00 !  What a bargain.

It is so true that One Man's Trash is Another's Treasure.

Have you found any decent treasure lately?

Hugs - Fee xx

Great finds, Fee. I haven't heard the word Hobbytex for a long time! It brings back memories of when I was growing up. I remember my mum doing it. Cute little basket.

Love all your little finds. Nothing more satisfying than a good rummage and finding treasure. Hate to admit it but I used to do a bit of Hobbytex!!!! LOL!

Some fabulous finds there Fee!!! I rarely find anything when I do go looking up here ... About the only items I've actually purchased when at an op shop in the last couple of years was a couple of tops and a pair of shorts a few months back! Not had much luck at all finding sewing bits and pieces or lovely homewares. I do enjoy seeing what available down south though!!!

what wonderful finds Fee! I must admit, I do get quite a few good finds in our local opshop (helps to volunteer there).....recently there was a box of 21/2 inch strips of fossil fern fabrics and both pin dots and polka dots.....that's been the best! Only cost me $8

I love thrift shopping too. In fact, I'm planning a stop today at one of my favorites. I hope I'm as fortunate with my finds as you were with your's. Such wonderful treasures. :)

Great finds. I went to a thrift shop in another town last weekend. Not any here where I live. I found 3 embroidery hoops for $4.50 USD and one of them is a heavy duty 16 inch hoop...And I never find good deals or things when I go craft related...I was super excited
