I am home from my wonderful trip to Brisbane to meet up with my fellow nutters and also the Queensland Blogging girls (+ Pat from NSW).
To say that I had the time of my life would somehow be an under statement. I have NEVER laughed so much EVER.... All of my gumnut sisters were as lovely as I knew they would be - We all hit it off instantly and did not stop cackling the whole time.
We took our imposter "Jenny the owl" everywhere we went - She had a great time too. We had our morning tea for the bloggers on Saturday and it was wonderful. We finally got to meet the gorgeous ladies on the other side of the screen and they were all so lovely.
One of my long time buddies in blog land is Teresa and let me tell you she is just the nicest gal - Despite being dead on her feet from tiredness she still came and I am so pleased she did. She is everything I thought she would be and more..... Love you Teresa...
And another girl that I was so pleased to finally meet was Maree. What a gorgeous lady she is - But then I knew she would be.
There were so many other ladies that I met but sadly do not have photographs of them so if I can get some from the other girls I will introduce you next time.
At the morning tea it was announced that we would be having our next Gumnutters AGM in Tasmania in conjunction with a retreat - More details to come soon but if you are hoping to come it will be the first weekend in March so put it in your diary now - This will be a weekend not to be missed.
Our lovely home state Nutter host was our delightful Joy. Joy knows how much I like a treasure hunt and took me to one of her local spots. I was not disappointed and found these tiny salt & pepper shakers with silver lids.
And this lovely little Royal Winton jug. Little treasures to remind me of my trip.
Joy also took us to some of her favourite quilting shops. This one was Bayside Stitch. We had 2 visits here because 1 was just not enough !!
And we also visited Natalie Bird's shop - Thread & Ginger - I was heard to say "Be still my beating heart" as I entered the shop - It is so "Fee" I loved everything inside......
If I was ever going to own a bricks and mortar shop it would be like this one.
There was lots of Natalie's own designs plus Tilda & Tilda fabric - Yes you heard me right !! And also lots of Anni Downs as well.
Can you see why I loved it so much?
We also went to a house full of shabby goodness. We stumbled across it really and all fell in love with the contents. It is called "Shabby Streak" and the lovely owner Leanne was happy for us to take some pics whilst we were there. It was destiny really as it is in Brighton which is the town that I live in here in Tassie.
I have so much more to tell you and to show you but I will leave that for another time.
Thank you so much to all of the bloggers and forum girls that turned up on Saturday - It was so lovely to meet you all. And a huge big sloppy kiss and hug to my sister Joy for putting up with us and to her family for lending her to us for the 4 days - I think they got returned damaged goods. OOPS !!! Sorry Daryll - She is now corrupted.
Until next time,
Love and Hugs - Fee XXXXX

Wish I had not worried about the weather as they said we would have a lot of rain coming and it would have been a long drive for me if it had been cancelled. I only saw Theresa's blog to late about meeting elsewhere if the weather wasn't good.
Sorry to have missed you all
