UFO Update + Give away News

Blogland has been very busy over the past week or so with lots of lovely new projects on offer, new games to play and some old games that have stood the test of time.  My idea throughout December after cleaning up my sewing room and sorting out all of my UFO's was to start a year long project of getting my UFO's down and getting others to join in - It seems that all great minds think alike and Wendy &  Dawn are running one too over HERE.  To save a double up of games and to simplify life for us all I have decided to join in Dawn & Wendy's UFO Blog and to shelve my idea for the time being.  BUT - I will still be playing some "new" games with give aways in the coming weeks so keep an eye out for that.

Now onto the important stuff - airing some of my UFO's - Please note that this is not all of them - There are a few more - Some I cannot recall where I put and the others are my original designs in different stages of completion (I can't show you them yet).  Please keep in mind when you see them all that I had lot's of finishes too - I am not really a serial UFO'ist

So here is my "Pops Garden" UFO designed by the gorgeous Rose over at Threadbare.  I have completed 3 blocks from 9 so am already 1/3rd of the way there.  I am using the lovely EVA range.

Now this one is not strictly a UFO but is on my TO DO list for this year - It is "A Quilters Dream" using some gorgeous Robyn Pandolph fabrics.  This one is for my bed.  I have had it for ages and never even taken it out of the packaging.

Next is "Sweet Christmas Dreams" by Leanne Beasley - 1/2 finished - Just gorgeous but lot's of stitching.

Another Threadbare design - Nanny Sharon's Picnic Quilt - All cut out and piecing has started - Nature's Chorus Fabrics.

3 Various Kits from The Quilted Crow Gatherings - Precious Things - Leanne Beasley (Which I have already made once) Time for Tea Mug Bag (Hugs & Kisses) & Christmas Tidings by the Quilted Crow Girls

Angel Story by Anni Downs

It's the simple things - Jug Doily by my lovely friend Jenny of Elefantz - Just needs a few more stitches and beads.

"Creativity Amongst Chaos's 2010 BOM - Baby Blessings"

"Look Who's here for Christmas" by Natalie Ross

A Christmas Story - A gorgeous Christmas Quilt Designed by Jenny of Elefantz

4 X Petite Thread Baskets from Rosalie Quinlan's Book "A Stitch In Time"

Little Patchwork Village - Rosalie Quinlan

Baguette Bag - Natalie Lymer - From a Homepsun Magazine

Ladybird on Patrol Quilt - Natalie Ross

Birds of Happiness Wall Quilt - Leanne Beasley

Simple Pleasures - Anni Downs (just 1 1/2 Blocks left to stitch)

And last but not least Tis The Season by Natalie Bird.

Now I feel like I have revealed all of myself to you- * Insert shy giggle* - I am not ashamed - No sireeeee - I am quite proud of how good a taste I have actually - I love them all and each time I see something that I love I just have to start it - LOL - That is of course between working full time, looking after my family and also producing my own designs.  No wonder I get so tired..........  I am listing all of these in my side bar and will be happy with just 20% finished by the end of the year - Let's see how I go.

Look at this gorgeous quilt designed by the Gumtree Girls - "Springtime"

You can win the complete set of BOM Blocks just be entering over HERE - The whole set is worth $120.

AND .......

Next time I blog I will be having a give away of my own - Wonder what it will be?

Until then

Hi Fee, When I compiled my list I got to 57 - very scary I thought (though to be truthful they are not all UFOs but projects I REALLY do want to do)) and today I found another 4 - and now I see your list - I have to add at least one more (A Little patchwork village that I bought a wee while ago!) I think really I should just stop reading other peoples blogs and get on with the sewing. Good Luck with your challenge too!

Hope your hand heals soon. Luv Shorty

you do the hand work and I do piecing! We should team up ;-)

Wow those projects are beautiful - but so many use hand stitching and they ALWAYS take longer, don't they? I have that picnic quilt pattern, I made one up last year - it worked up very fast, I used raw-edge applique on the daisies. Thanks for the reminder about Jenny's Christmas quilt, I have the fabrics picked out and everything printed, I need to start!
