How are you going with your christmas shopping and stitching. I can't believe how quickly it has come around again. I am busy stitching away each evening on various projects to give as gifts. I am starting to wonder if I will be finished in time?
I tend to do quite a bit of my shopping on-line. The mail man has been very busy bringing parcels to my door. I recently bought a number of items from my friend Gail . She is just so talented I love everything that she does. Of course with some gifts being delivered I had to buy something for myself so this gorgeous framed print arrived at my door and now lovingly hangs above my desk in my studio.
With Christmas of course comes the new year. I have been putting quite a bit of thought into the direction I want to take my designing. I have designs on bits of paper everywhere and I have decided that 2011 will be the year that I bring them to life. The first big project that I want to complete is a BOM that I have been sketching. I am going to call it "Heart of the Home".
The main centre block is finished and traced onto fabric. I have chosen the threads and the fabrics so now all that is left is for me to make a start. I am always keen to see how a design will look once it is stitched. I have told myself that I won't start it until I have finished my christmas sewing but I just know that I won't be able to resist just a few stitches.
It's going to be gorgeous! Hope you've enjoyed your day off, wish I was there too!
PS Thanks for lunch yesterday :-)
Hi Fiona, love the stitchery you are working on, it is so pretty, and also reminds me of my house-hehe. I have just finished all of my gifts for the craft forum advent swap, and the house looks like someone dropped a bomb!! never mind it will get back to normal sooner or later. Bye for now, Sandy. :-)
Lovely stitchery Fee. Great words.
My house is untidy and I haven't been sewing...Lol

Love the fabrics/colours you have chosen for your BOM, Fee! Good on you! 2011 is the year, sweetie!!!
Gail is a wonderful artist - she had a stall at one of the Victorian craft markets I went to earlier this year and her work is so pretty.
big hugs darling!

Love the stitching, the words are so apt!
Love your selection of materials. I wouldn't be able to resist making a start either. I'm just finishing a scrappy mug rug swap and am knee deep in christmas qtrs.
Those words in the stitcery are so true.
Your work is beautiful, of course I love the words you've chosen...I hear you loud and clear!
