Simple Pleasures & Nice Mail

My friend Peg has been digging around in her UFO's and pulled out her Simple Pleasure's stitchery quilt that she had started. I have started mine too so I thought it would be nice if we track each other's progress and maybe motivate one another to finish. I am doing mine in a red variegated thread and will use some yummy Red French General fabrics to finish it off. Wish me luck !!

My gorgeous talented friend Cori has sent me a copy of 2 of her latest pattern releases. If you are in Australia and wish to order these patterns get in touch with her Aussie Distributor Pattern Press for stockists names. Have you seen her upcoming BOM? It is so so lovely and she is using some "Bliss" the beautiful new line coming out from Bonnie & Camille. Cori also sent me the cutest little strawberry scissor keep - It is gorgeous - Thanks Cori !!

Now it seems that since my surgery I have been designing in my sleep just about and have 2 new designs on the cutting board again this week. The one above is in colours that are not really "me" colours but do suit the project really well. Do you notice the sunshine in the photograph? The sun is shining here today and it is a very welcome change.

And another project using some "Bliss" as well. Isn't it a gorgeous fabric range? Fresh and Fun !! Have a lovely productive weekend.

My Simple Pleasures was unearthed in the recent excavations in the sewing room and has been calling my name. Guess I'll get some tracing done so I can start too. I love the little stitcheries and have made a number of the small projects from the book, so now must be the right time to do the quilt.
Thanks for sharing

Love the Bliss fabric ... look forward to seeing how you use it. I've been working on Simple Pleasures too this week. Just 3 blocks left to stitch. French General fabrics will be perfect with your redwork blocks.

Hi Fee
I love your new designs!! you are so creative.!!
I think if I didn't paint..I would love to sew and design..sorry if that's not the right termonoligy...but you know what I mean
I was so hoping I could somehow produce fabric designs based on my paintings,it's an ongoing project, so expensive to have anything printed in fabric form...but wouldn't it be fun

Happy weekend to you, Gail xx

What gorgeous projects - good idea for you and Peg to urge each other on, although I don't think it's possible for Peg to go any faster than she already does - lol! Your sneak peeks look so wonderful!
