Not Finishing Disease AKA UFOITIS

The gum tree girls chitter chatter all day every day - We are soul sisters you see..........

Our conversation has recently turned to unfinished projects - I think shamefully I may have the longest list............................ Dawnie calls it "Not Finishing Disease" I quite like that term - Maybe I can list it along with all of my other ailments? LOL I also like the term UFOITIS - Gives it a bit of "professionalism" don't you think?

Regardless of the term it is rather naughty....... The picture above is the beginning of another new doily design - Stitched but laying there unfinished...... My mission today is to finish some unfinished projects.

I do have excuses though...... Who could possibly kick this fellow of the cutting table whilst he is sunbaking? Meet Dreamer........................ For Grays Anatomy fans he is named after McDreamy - He has those eyes !!!!!

And look here 3 distractions !!!

Nevertheless I have started well this morning. This is a quilt I designed last year "Bunny Crossing". It just needed the final borders stitched on which I completed this morning. On Monday I will send it up to my friend Sarah who will work her quilting magic on it.

Please excuse the photo. Everytime I go to photograph a quilt it is windy and way too sunny but I just wanted to show you today's first finish. (You can see the shadow of all of my seams - quite eerie really)

It is made from HUSHABYE - Lovely soft pastels.....

So what are you doing today? Are you going to join me in searching for a cure for this dreadful quilting disease?

Love your quilt Fee. The seams shadows and the crosses make the blocks look like stain glass windows in a church. Very beautiful! I have those sort of distractions too.. but how can you resist them? Have a great day xx

UFOitis seems to be very wide spread - glad I'm in good company.
Pretty quilt and cute distractions in the sewing room.
Enjoy your weekend and good luck with those projects.

I love the picture with the sun shining through the fabrics! Sorry to have missed your birthday. I can see you enjoyed celebrating such a milestone! I could probably rival you with UFO's, and almost every day I try something else new! But, they do eventually all get finished. Have a wonderful weekend. ~karen

Wonderful finish Fee! I kind of like the seam shadows, reminds me of a stained glass window. Very easter-ish and quite lovely! Thanks for sharing a peek with us! Love the color combinations of this quilt! I too have a touch of UFOitis. Sometimes you just get stuck with a quilt design, and toss it to the side. Then one day you pull it out of hiding, and "WALLA" the enigma is solved, and a finish becomes achievable. Good luck with this pretty little quilt. I look forward to seeing your doily also! -Cori

I love the photo of your quilt top hanging on the line, blowing in the breeze! I hang quilts on the line to photograph all the time, it'S perfect! Yes, I'll be joining you today. I had some friends come to visit me yesterday, a long journey of driving, spending the night in town, then taking our ferry over to my island. While here, I was showing my many tops and unfinished projects... so yes, today I will join you in finishing something. Thank you for sharing...
