Hopefully it will not be too long before I have it finished and can show you the finished result.

Here is a dear little man that has had a struggle for most of his life. A trip to the vet last week revealed lots of question marks and a wait and see what happens scenario. He has failed to grow properly and is 1/2 the size he should be but believe me he is all heart.
He sleeps around my neck and is just the most affectionate little man. The vet says not to get attached to him but I am afraid that it is too late. I think that he needs a BIG beautiful name so I have decided to have a little competition to name him. For the best suggestion of a name for our wee little man (which is what we currently call him) I will give the winner a Charm Pack of either Blessings or Vine Creek (Your Choice) Plus a pattern from my range.

Hi Fiona
Cute cat! I would call him Chocco (chocolate), Cocoa, or Burma. Happy choosing!
I just re-read your post, and if you want a BIG name then how about Chocolate Mudcake, Chocolate Puddng or Cocoa Pops!
Hi Fee,
Love the baguette bag...it's a beauty isn't it? Love Natalie's style...always so lovely.
I keep looking at your dear little man and he has the kindest most intent dear little face...and those eyes...
He reminds me of a "Jackie".
Don't know why...that name just comes when I see him.
Have fun choosing and enjoy him while you are able for however long.
hugs
Robyn xx
A BIG name could be Horatio. hope the little man is ok.
Hi Fiona,
What a silly thing for thr vet to say.
How about Braveheart. It certainly implies courage, a big heart and is a big name.
Hugs
Sharon
I love the baguette bag too :) Hmm well a BIG name for such a little puddy tat.. he has such an intense look about him! I am going to suggest Zeyar which is Burmese for success :)
Hello Fiona, I think Cinnoman would be a great name, (Sinno-man pronunciation. Cinno for the colour and man because he is one. Hope all turns out OK for him.

My 4 yr old Son sad his name should be 'King Eagle', and he told me he needs to live at our house - I'm not sure about getting a cat I think it would try to eat our chickens :P, but the name is cute! Hope you find a name that you both really like!!!
Hi Fee.....dont know if you are letting me into the giveaway too but I just wanted to suggest a name for that oh so cute little puddytat! I reckon hes as cute as a button so Buttons is a good name :) Hope he will be ok. hugs
Vicki
A big manly name for a cute little kitty - how about Benjamin.
Love that bag, can't wait to see what yours looks like.
To be on the positive side how about the name Simba. Simba was a little cub who grew to be a great king because of his good heart. He is so cute and sweet, how could you not get attached. You have a soft heart like me. Good luck.
I LOVE that bag. I can't wait to see yours! I wish I could get that magazine.
The wee little man has such a wise look to him, I think his name should be Solomon. I hope he makes it ok!
Ok - I love him.... soooo cute and it's no wonder you have him draped around your neck :-)
I think he's a perfect Mr Mistopheles or Toffee for short... give him cuddles from me
hugs

He is soooo cute. I have been breeding persian cats so I know exactly what it is to get kittens like this. You get so attached to them.
He is cute as a button, so I think his name has to be BUTTON :)
Button is also a strong name, because a button keeps it all together.
Oh...what a cute kitten. I think the name Obama is good for him. It;s a big man....and every time you see the little man you think :Yes we can!!!
gr. Wendy (Netherlands)
I'm with Sharon - Brave Heart, he doesn't even know just how brave he is.
Great bag by the way :)
Oh Fiona he's just adorable, how could you not get attached to that little man!!? How about Samson, that's a nice strong name??
Love n hugs,
Joy :o)
We bred a puppy many years ago who was also small and unwell, we called him "Baby" until he had a near death experience at 8 weeks of age and we changed his name to "Gladiator" for strength.
'Tor went on to live a long and happy life despite being blind.
Therefore my suggestion for your kitten's new name is 'Tor.
Hi Fiona.
As I looked at his sweet little face on the screen, the name "Bartholomew" came into my head.
How could you not give hime your heart!
What a beautiful kitten, no wonder you are attached to him. I would go for Achelles, a strong and brave fighter despite his weakness.
Oops, sorry, dyslexic fingers. The name , of course should have been Achilles!
Such great names being suggested here! My first thought was Leo, because he looks like a tough little lion to me! Good for you making that bag for yourself...it will be lovely I'm sure! :0)
Threads are gorgeous, colours beautiful. Thanks for chance of winning. I would name your Kitten, Super...short for supercalifragilisticexpalidocious (excuse spelling). Hearing that word brings memories of Mary Poppins, and that everything is going to be okay. I hope he will live up to his name and be a Super cat. Positive vibes being sent to you as you help your kitten survive and thrive.
Oh Fiona he is adorable and I hope desperately that you have good news from the vets.
The name Rocky instantly comes to mind - I have just rewatched all the films and the character of Rocky is both a true gentleman and a consumate fighter for survival whilst always doing the right thing. Blessings for you both. Caroline xxx
Hi Fiona... what a cute litle man! My first thought was "Lion" as he looks to have a big heart. And then I thought - Christmas.... mmmm ... drapped around the neck... mmm... well of course his name is Mistletoe. Rainbow smiles ... Gloria
Hi Fiona,
how about Fighter, he really is a fighter, isn't he ?
Simona
I love your bag. I didn't read the comments so I could come up with a name on my own. So how about...
Sir Chesterfield Myanmar, Crown Prince of Meemama.
Just a thought, hugs, Elaine
My son Robbie (10) says you should name your little guy Shermont.
My daughter Mandy (18) say Shawty (sounds like shorty but with the twang).
My Hubby says El Tigre or Tiger.
I'll go with Bud short for Buddy.
Ok, I don't normally do this, but seeing that kitty and knowing his problems the name that came to mind is Dauntless. Fighting against all odds, love him. BarbM
He looks like "Brutus" to me!
I think you should name him Neico. I don't really know why. He just looks like a Neico.
He is so cute. I would call him Shadow.
Oh, he is cute! How about Samson? In the Bible, Samson had been gifted with immense strength by God.
What an adorable kitten! I have fostered kitties with health issues, so I know how easy it is to get attached.
My first thought for a name was Hercules!
Atlas,Perseus and Zeus are also strong men from myth....
Perseus could be cute because you could spell it PURR-seus!!!
He is adorable, give him a hug from me!

Awwww what an adorable dear little man! How could anyone not fall in love and get attached to him... he's irresistable!
'Gizmo' springs to mind, (from The Gremlins films) because he is so sweet and adorable and can survive the most worst gremlins because of his sweet pure soul. However, I think the actual phonetic sound "Gizmo" isn't cute enough for this little fella.
Hugs sweetie! Vikki xoxo
My first thought was Horatio, but someone has already picked that, so next is Maximus. Hope all goes well for him
I have read thru all the suggestions and find it hard to come up with something better - they are all so good. Maybe Ceasar or Brutus? I love good strong manly names, and what a gorgous little kitty. My first thought was that you were giving him away and I wanted him!I hope he does well, and how can you not love him extra special.
His name is Victor. Cos that's what he will be, no matter what happens. He's gorgeous and I hope he has a long and happy life with you.
Hi Fiona, what an absolutely adorable kitten. I haven't read anyone elses comments, so I couldn't be swayed for a name..I instantly thought of 'Blessing'.. the fabric range was a hint and I thought well, it really is a blessing that he is here.. and I hope he stays for a very long time.
Can't wait to see your bag made in aviary, it is one of my favorite fabric ranges.
What a sweet little puddie. My daughter just found out that her boyfriend's and her puppy called "Mollie" who is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel won't live much longer because her head is too small for her brain, if that makes sense, sounds terrible. It is around $10,000 for an Xray or something. I just hope she will be ok. I don't have an original name or anything but what about "Oscar". I think that would be appropriate. Good luck on choosing.
I suggest Jasper after our Burmese "wee little man". Our cat was also born with something of a struggle, but you wouldn't know it now! He is a very playful, lively cat now and thriving well!!
Good luck wee little man!!!
I like your baguette bag, of course all your stitcheries are nice. As for your darling little cat...what about Lancelot or Galahad? Big hearts and chivalry to boot!
I think your wee little man should be named "Precious" because he looks so precious and cute. I like your baguette bag very much. Thanks for letting me comment.
First time to your blog, so maybe you already chose a name, but I love naming animals so here it goes...
Moda
Fat Quarter
Remnant
Selvage
Stitch
Python- It would be so fun to watch people figure out (Burmese Python)
Well, they aren't really big and beautiful, but maybe they will be interesting and creative.
