Advent Swappers & A Thank You

Hello to all Advent Swappers !!! Have you enjoyed getting to know your partner? I have so many lovely e-mails from people but unfortunately there have been a few bad eggs. I have had 2 swappers in my group that have just disappeared off the face of the earth. Very Very disappointing. I just cannot understand why people would join up to a swap only to let their partner down - and not to mention me......... I have the upmost respect for all of the swap mothers out there - Swaps are a lot of hard work to organise and manage and it makes it much harder and quite unpleasant when we are also dealing with disappointed partners. Luckily the 2 that I have I have been able to match up together and I think that things will be fine now. If you have not sent off your parcel yet please do so ASAP. Your partner needs to receive their parcel ready for the opening of their first parcel on the 1st December.
I have received so many excited e-mails from bloggers that have not only met a new friend but are also going to be very very spoilt this December. I am really loking forward to surfing around all of your blogs and seeing your gifts each day.
This morning I received the most beautiful card from Rachelle over at Quarantine Quilting. Pop on over and take a look at it HERE - It is just so sweet - Thanks Rachelle !!
You may have noticed my little Christmas elf? It is my darling Tommy - He is growing up so fast - Almost 2 years old now !!
Until next time,
HUGS,

oh Fiona, the card is just too lovely, how thoughtful of Rachelle. But then you guys have done a really super job of organising this swap, so you all truly deserve a good pat on the back, thanks from me too! (but not as eloquently as Rachelle's thank you!!!!)

Every now and again there are some bad eggs in the swaps. Its hard to understand why these people do that but the good ones out weigh the bad thank goodness. Your little Elf is adorable and just the cutest! No wonder you are kept busy Fee :)

people don't realise how hard it is on the swap organisers when they disappear or pull out.......let alone the poor person who has been let down........

Hi Fiona, this isn't my first swap, and I've to say that I've never seen one without bad eggs. I think that some people just want a "gift" doing nothing in return. I want to thank you for all the help you gave me from the start of the swap with my questions, till now with my disappeared partner.
thank you!

Fiona, I've been greatly enjoying this swap and have made a wonderful new friend in my swap partner. Lotta has been an AMAZING swap partner. We stay in touch all the time, and I've had a blast putting together her swap package! I just can't wait until she can open everything! :o) It's sad about the two swappers who just "disappeared" and haven't committed themselves. It happens way too often in swaps. In fact, I just got stiffed by a swap partner in a Ravelry swap, and the "angel" team had to pull together for me and they sent me gift box, which I should get any day now. It's just too bad there isn't a better way to sift these kinds of people out before it's too late. Ho hum... Anyways, thank you so much for putting this swap together. This has been a fantastic swap...and it's not even over yet! :o)
