Haven't popped in for a few days to my own blog but I have been catching up with every one else's. You have all been so busy and so productive that I feel a little guilty. Alas today is my day off and I intend to get some sewing done !!
Monday night was Amy & Kaitlin's school fair and we attended with baby Thomas. We discovered this gorgeous little bunny figurine and decided it needed to come and live with us. I do not own a lot of bunny items but after seeing Rose's home decorated for Easter recently I think that I may just start up a bunny collection to display at Easter time.

I recently ordered some fabric on-line and have been waiting for it to arrive to finish 2 of my swap items. It arrived this monring just in time for my sewing day which is fantastic. I purchased an Aviary Charm Pack, A Berry Delicious Charm Pack and a Spring Magic Honey Bun (Wonder which swap that one's for?) and also some sweet little pink fabric. Hopefully today will be a productive one and I can get these parcels posted out tomorrow.

Now for my find of the year. Look at all of these buttons. Like most vintage craft lovers I have a true love for buttons and with my new venture which invloves vintage craft items (I can reveal more very very soon) this was a fantastic find. Tons and Tons of buttons smiling up at me from a very large tub on the shelf of my local thrift store. The lovely ladies there told me that it was a life time collection of a nearby resident who had parted with them. I could fill up a little freezer bag for $2.00. I asked how many freezer bags they thought would be there, not sure was the reply but you can have them all for $20 if you like. Well let's just say I didn't walk out of there without them. I have since chosen some favourites, played with them, fondled them, sat with them and dreamed about the endless possibilities with them. And not one to be greedy I will be very soon having a give away to share some with you. So watch this space..........

Here are just a few of my favourites.
And to give you some idea of just how many of them there are here is a shot of me "fondling" them.

The fabric looks delicious I guess I will just have to wait to see what you make. Now the buttons - lucky you - I know where there is a similar sized stash of buttons but I have to be patient my mother is not quite ready to part with them yet! Enjoy your new resources and your day off.

Wow I love the bunnies! So cute. What a cute idea buying ceramic bunnies for Easter. I love all of the buttons too. I've been lucky to inherit my Grandma's collection.
